Privacy Policy

In the course of registering a nickname, a valid email address is required to validate the registration request. This is to prevent automated registrations. The email address given is not used for any other reason or purpose apart from confirming nickname registration information. They are not sold to any third parties and are not used to send any mail from Serenity-IRC itself.

Also as part of the registration process, the user is asked to choose a password. This password is used to confirm ownership of a registered nickname each time that registered nickname is used on Serenity-IRC. It is strongly advised that users pick a new random password, and not to use an existing password which may be used to gain access to computer or personal information elsewhere.
