Accessing Serenity-IRC via our customised Java Chat client couldn't be easier. Saving the need of installing any IRC software, it allows you to connect to us from wherever you travel. Requiring just a web browser which allows you to run Java Applets, this fully featured interface will get you chatting in no time.
Channel owners can also provide potential chatters with a direct link to access their channel in a few easy steps.

IRC Client

There are many varied and different software clients to connect to IRC networks so to provide an exhaustive list and help would take too long.
You can connect to Serenity-IRC using an IRC client by typing the command:
/server irc.serenity-irc.net
If you want to join a specific Serenity-IRC server, then you can substitute irc.serenity-irc.net with one of our public servers.
If you have any questions once connected, then please feel free to visit the #help channel by typing:
/join #help

SereneMIRC

The staff at Serenity-IRC have created some extra and bonus scripts to make using the world's most popular IRC client even easier on Serenity-IRC. SereneMIRC can be downloaded and installed to give you this custom experience.

SerenePIRCH

pIRCh still has an avid band of colourful followers, and so Serenity-IRC has provided a custom version of pIRCh to simplify some basic operations. SerenePIRCH can be downloaded and installed to give you this custom experience.

WebTV / MsnTV

WebTV users now have two choices. We now offer our own simple IRC interface for WebTV. Users can access this at:
http://www.serenity-irc.net/wtv/wtv.php.

You can also access Serenity-IRC using the WebTV/MSNtv home page.
If you wish to follow the old method use these instructions to join us:

From homepage on webtv/msntv click on 'Chat'.
Next, go to the upper right hand corner and click on 'Go To'.
This will bring up a chat page where you need to fill out 3 simple boxes.
Server : irc.serenity-irc.net
Port: 7000
Room: help

This will get you to the help channel. If you know of a channel you want to visit on Serenity-IRC specifically, then you can change the name listed in the room box.

And then click on the CONNECT button.....and you will connect to Serenity-IRC :)
